Gravity die-casting

Gravity die-casting is a process used by AB Fonderie to manufacture aluminum alloy parts for our customers. It consists of filling a so-called shell mold with a metal alloy in a liquid state, using gravity. Also known as drop filling, this process takes place under the pressure of the weight of the alloy poured directly into the mold's runners for filling.

Gravity die-casting offers the following advantages:
- the ability to produce large runs at high production rates,
- fast, high-precision molding of parts with a high degree of consistency,
- a capacity for shaping parts with complicated shapes (external and internal) and very low thickness,
