Gravity die-casting

Gravity die-casting is a process used by AB Fonderie to supply aluminum and other light-alloy parts to our customers. It consists of filling a so-called shell mold with a metal alloy in a liquid state, using gravity alone. Also known as drop filling, this process takes place under the pressure of the weight of the alloy poured directly into the mold's runners to fill its cavity.

Gravity die-casting offers several advantages:
- high-volume, high-speed production capabilities,
- fast, high-precision molding of parts with a certain degree of dimensional invariability},
- significant shaping possibilities for parts with complex shapes (external and internal) and very low thicknesses,
